HostedHooks Product Update (October 2021) November 2021 · ian

Introduction

It’s been a busy few months here at HostedHooks and we’re back with our monthly update to share what we’ve been working on!

Updates

A New Look

As HostedHooks became more complex, we felt that our UI was too clunky and needed a refresh. So we went back to the drawing board and have come up with a new look and feel that will grow with us. This new layout is live right now for all users and will continue to be updated. Let us know what you think.

Webhook Event Versioning

We are excited to launch our new webhook versioning solution. Starting today, providers can now make backwards compatible changes to their webhook payloads without forcing their subscribers to make any changes. Each new change is logged as a version and will be visible for subscribers to choose when and how they upgrade.

Build New Payload Versions

Providers will be able to create newer versions of their webhook payloads without breaking their users integrations through the same easy to use UI.

Subscriber Version Control

Subscribers will be able to choose which webhook version they want to use on a per endpoint basis. We will be adding a way to preview the payload shortly.

Subscribe to webhook version

The webhook version that you are subscribed to will be identified on the api response for your webhook messages so you can keep track of the version that you are ingesting.

Manage Team Members

We’ve now added support for growing companies to give access to their team members.

NextJS Sample App

To help our users get integrated faster, we have put together a sample To Do app using NextJS and HostedHooks. The idea is to give developers a base to start with and understand how HostedHooks works in a production app. This code is fully open sourced along with a hosted and working sample app.
